Moving Experience- Day One

Today I finished the leasing paperwork and got the keys

to my very own apartment! I was so excited to finally move in!

I think out of all the days of moving, the first day is the hardest because

it was non-stop carrying boxes from the car to my apartment. 

By the end of the day I was in so much pain. 

My back was hurting, my arms were sore and my legs were wobbly...

But then again that just shows how out of shape I am!

Here is the empty apartment I walked into, it's really small but I think

it'll be okay because it's only me living here and I don't need

a lot of space to begin with so I'm really happy with it. 

My mom came with me the first day to make sure that the first thing

that came into my apartment was rice & salt. 

(She says it's supposed to bring you luck & happiness)

So she gave me this cute little jar with rice & salt but added marbles in 

it for decoration, I think it looks kind of cute. Do any of you do this too?

The apartment office was so nice and welcoming, they had a welcome

note in my apartment with sparkling cider and a few essential 

supplies to get me started, like toilet paper, wash rags, and a kitchen towel.

After a very long day of packing all my stuff into the car and driving all the way

to my new apartment, I finally unpacked all my boxes and this is what my 

apartment looked like at the end of the day.

I also went out to Ikea that same day and bought myself a couch and

Johnny and I worked until 11pm to get it set up. I don't have a picture of it

at the moment but you'll see it in my upcoming vlog about the moving experience.

I felt like I got a lot done, but at the end of the day I was just pooped!
