How To Make French Macarons

French Macarons

You will need:

Baking tray
Parchment paper
2 large bowls
1 cup powdered sugar
3/4 cup almond flour
4 tbs regular sugar
2 egg whites
Sifter
Cream cheese frosting
Electric Mixer

Here's what you do:

Sift the powdered sugar and almond flour into a large bowl

In the other bowl mix the two egg whites with
electric mixer for 5 minutes or until frothy

Slowly start adding the 4 tbs of regular sugar into
the egg white mix and continue mixing until the mixture
has become very thick and stiff. Flip bowl upside down to
make sure the mixture doesn't move or fall out

Fold the egg white mix into the dry ingredients

Add pink food coloring for that special valentines day look

Place mixture into a piping bag OR zip block bag and
begin squeezing quarter size amounts onto parchment paper and baking tray

Before placing macarons into the oven allow them to sit and air dry
for a good 15 minutes to create a soft thin crust on top

During this time preheat over to 325˚F

After macarons have set for 15 minutes turn down over to 300˚F

Place tray on the top rack of the oven and bake for 7 minutes

After 7 minutes turn the tray around (180˚) and bake for
another 7 minutes, this will ensure they bake evenly

Then take them out and allow the macarons to cool

To create the creamy middle mix cream cheese frosting with
whipped cream to get that light airy taste

Now just sandwich the two together and you have your french macarons!

ENJOY! :)
