How To Prepare For A Flight ✈︎

But in today's video I'm talking about how to prepare for a flight which can be kinda stressful sometimes. Airlines today have so many rules and regulations... not to mention the anticipation for the long uncomfortable flight. (I don't like flying... it's always so uncomfortable for me) Luckily for my trip to Cancun, our flight was less than 5 hours, so it wasn't too bad. That also explains why my carry on is pretty small and minimal :)

3-1-1 Rule for Carry On's

When you go to the airport you can check your bag in which means they will take it away from you and it will be stored under the plane with everyone else's bags. If you have certain items such as camera, books makeup etc that you want to hold on to during your flight those are items that belong in your carry on item. There are no liquid restrictions on your checked bags but your carry on bag does have some restrictions and the good rule of thumb is the follow the 3-1-1 rule. What's that you ask? Well it stands for 3 oz. of liquid in 1 clear plastic bag per 1 person. This means you can take a regular sandwich size ziplock bag and fill it with as many 3 oz. liquid products as you want. As long as the bag can close up, you're good. Some airlines let you take as much as 3.4 oz of liquid but it's better to be on the safe side and keep everything 3 oz. and under. If you're not sure if a certain item is allowed or not definitely call your airlines and ask. I always say- when it doubt, leave it out :)
