Made in the 90's

Happy Friday guys! For today's post I wanted to share an outfit that's super casual and very much my style. I want this post to help inspire others to dress like themselves no matter what insecurities you may have. I think when I started gaining weight after high school I immediately switch my style to more dresses and skirts because it would hide my thighs better (which was the area that showed most of my weight gain). The problem was that dresses and skirts are fun every now and then but for everyday, it's just not my style... I've always loved the effortless vibes of tomboy/rocker looks, I love wearing distressed jeans, graphic tees and just very basic pieces. My problem is that when I wear tight jeans it shows how big my thighs are and I always felt like I needed to hide that but I've finally come to a point where, of course I'd love to lose some weight but I'm not going to let that stop me from wearing what I love. I hope I encourage my other curvy little flowers to wear whatever their heart desires and rock whatever style expresses their individuality best.

I love how matchy matchy this outfit is with the burgundy on the shirt from the burgundy pants. This 'made in the 90's' tee is so soft and comfy, it's definitely one of my favorites. I actually got it from Forever 21 last year but it was so popular that they just restocked it! There's a link below if you want to pick it up before it sells out again!

Fun fact- I've had these converse shoes since I was in middle school... they used to be black but people see them now and think they're brown or gray haha! Theses babies are over 15 years old but I just can't seem to get ride of them... I love how torn up and "lived in" they are

I hope you guys enjoyed this post, it can definitely be hard opening up about your insecurities but once you do, you're able to live with them and even embrace them! These jeans definitely enhance my thunder thigh situation going on but I'm still rocking this outfit anyways! Let's all continue to motivate, uplift, and encourage others because that's what being apart of the little flower family is all about. What is one insecurity you're working on embracing? Let me know in the comments.

  1. My insecurity is my weight and my Disability. I was born with a disability called spina bifida and scoliosis. I am in a wheelchair and it's not easy!

  3. Burgundy looks great on you!! I am in the same boat as you. I gained weight after high school and it always seems to come and go. I also have a birthmark on my left eye which makes me insecure about hairstyles with my hair out of my face... There are so many cute hairstyles nowadays but I just can't get myself to feel comfortable doing them...

    1. I challenge you to step outside your comfort zone and wear the styles that make you happy! Don't worry about what people say because their judgements and comments about you don't define who you are. You are awesome, rock your style girl! :)
