Valentine's Day at Disneyland

Happy Friday! Hope everyone had an amazing week! I wanted to share a quick recap of my Valentine's day this year because it was a really special one. Since Zoey's rescue/return my attention has been 100% towards Zoey and her recovery which has left little quality time for mine and Johnny's relationship. It has been a difficult past few months and even though we see each other everyday we have both been missing each other so so much. Thanks to the help of my parents for babysitting my sweet Zoey, Johnny and I were able to have a mini getaway for 2 days in Anaheim, CA. We spent Valentine's Day at Disneyland and California Adventures and it was so much fun!

Our first stop was Starbucks in downtown Disney... I ordered my usual peach green tea lemonade but Johnny got this beautiful strawberry cream frap that I had to take a photo of!

I kept my outfit very casual and comfortable since we were going to be walking around a lot. It was also pretty warm in the afternoon so I chose to stick with a tank top and light kimono combo for my look.

I did a live stream of my makeup look so if you missed that you can click here. For my hair I tried something new... I wasn't crazy about it but I did two loose dutch braid buns to keep my hair out of my face.

Over at California Adventures we went to the Cove Bar which I've never been to before. They serve alcoholic drinks which is popular with the adults and their famous Lobster Nachos! Of course I opted for the vegetarian version but these nachos were AMAZING!

I also opted for a virgin non-alcoholic drink since I don't enjoy alcohol, this drink is their SUPER SWEET cotton candy lemonade! I honestly just ordered it because I saw that it came with cotton candy on the top lol

I am so grateful for the time spent with Johnny, it was quality time that we both have been missing. Valentine's day was never really my favorite holiday but we used it as an excuse to get away and have a moment for ourselves which I believe is always important to do. We all work so hard day to day that sometimes we forget to take care of ourselves and our relationships. I hope you use this blog post as a reminder to give yourself the moment you need and the moment you deserve to relax, unwind and enjoy life. It doesn't necessarily mean you need to go to Disneyland but just allowing yourself to take a break from the hardships of life is always important... do you agree? Share your thoughts in the comments OR share how you spent your Valentine's day because I would love to know!
